To Whom it may Concern:
I have known Mr. Jim Lawrence since 1988. Jim was hired by our Facilities
Department to redesign and rewrite our computer programs. This PC based
program is used for staff management, tracking maintenance requests, tracking
costs and status of Capital projects and numerous other functions. Stations
were originally stand-alone. Jim was instrumental in the change to a Novell
local area network set up on Ethernet and 10BaseT. This is a complex program
and has run with very few glitches. This currently includes two separate
sites with a constant exchange of information between sites via a high
speed modem.
I have always found Jim to be helpful, hardworking and honest. Our experience
has been shown that Jim is an extremely capable programmer. As well, he has
always managed to keep abreast of the ever-changing computer hardware
area. His understanding of hardware, combined with his knowledge of current
software programs has been a great help regarding decisions around the
setting up of our network.
I would not hesitate to recommend Jim for employment in his field. If
you require further information, please don't hesitate to call.
Yours Truly,
Doug J. Grant
